The NHS has just released a list of the conditions that cause the most severe pains, and they include some seriously painful shit.

One ailment is trigeminal neuralgia, a nerve condition that apparently feels like an electric shock is shooting through your face, while frozen shoulder also features.

Endometriosis is on the list too and for good reason, because this condition in which tissue that normally grows inside the uterus (endometrium) grows outside it is notoriously painful.

Old-fashioned illnesses such as shingles, a viral infection that appears as a single stripe of blisters that wraps around either the left or the right side of your torso sounds pretty horrific too.
