While anyone who's been through the Irish education system will know that there's 32 counties on this little isle, let's be honest: sometimes it's a fucking struggle to remember them all.
The obvious ones like Dublin (duh, it's the capital), Galway (great craic), Cork (great pudding), Kerry ('cos Fungi) and even Kilkenny (helloooo hen parties) slip off the tongue but there's always a few random ones that you get stuck on.
Irish Reddit has put the big question to the people of Ireland: what are the counties that you would forget if you were the try to list them all? "The ones that you'd struggle to associate with anything and just blend into the background."
"All the L counties except Limerick are forgettable. Laois, Limerick and Longford."
"Somewhere like Longford or Fermanagh is unremarkable in any aspect."
"In fairness, it's easy to miss Offaly. All tucked away down there."
"I think Longford is our version of Area 51."
'Offaly, Westmeath, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. Carlow and Laois are borderline. Everywhere else is at least somewhat relevant."
Ugh, tough but fair?
