The Irish Blood Transfusion Service has
made an emergency appeal, as blood supplies have dropped to unstable levels.
There is currently just a three day supply of blood left in Ireland and the organisation is calling on blood donors to “make a special effort” to donate this week.
The IBTS is aiming to secure 1,500 donations over the coming three weeks to restore a seven day supply.
Those who have O Positive and O Negative blood are particularly needed and blood donation clinics are being held across the country at the moment.
You can find out if you can donate blood and the location of your nearest clinic HERE.
