If the weather experts are to be believed, we can all look forward to a decent spell of fine weather this coming weekend.
Met Éireann is forecasting highs of 19 degrees on Saturday and 21 degrees on Sunday with the country set to enjoy some long overdue sunny spells. After that though, it seems there's going to be a bit of a divide.
After Monday, which will be "mild and humid," Met Éireann say that "current indications are that there will be a northwest-southeast split on Tuesday and Wednesday. Cooler and cloudier with rain at times in the north and west. Warmer, drier and brighter to the south and east."
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather agrees, saying "an East-West battle on the weather models for next week. Rain will try push in from the West but high pressure to the East will try hold it back. It could result in cloud and rain in the West while the East remains dry with sunny spells."
