The Weather Across Ireland Will Be Absolutely Baltic Tonight

We hope you've hung onto your Christmas hat and gloves, 'cos the weather across the country is gonna be pure baltic today. 

Met Eireann is predicting temperatures lows of as much as -5 degrees - meaning you might be tempted to cancel all plans and stay snuggled up by the fire. 

They said: Tonight will be dry with good clear spells and northeasterly winds will ease. It will turn very cold with lowest temperatures falling to between -2 and -5 degrees with a widespread severe frost.

Areas along the eastern coast won't be hit as hard and will stay slightly above freezing. 

Yikes.
