Do you remember the cute little Irish boy from Titanic? Ah c'mon, you must do. Little Reece Thompson had just one line of dialogue and appeared in three scenes in the blockbuster hit, playing the part of a cute Irish lad who drowned alongside his mother.
At the time of Titanic in 1997 (HOW is this movie 21 years old?!), Reece made an impressive €30,000 for his role, not too shabby for a five-year-old.
Reece told Business Insider that he still gets residual checks from his role in the movie, about two or three times a year.
"It's weird because it's not present in my mind anymore," he said. "It's not like, 'Oh, when am I going to get a new "Titanic" check?' When it happens, it's like, 'Oh, cool, an extra $100.'"
Yep, he makes a good $250-$300 every year. Pretty good going considering it was over 20 years ago that the little dote appeared on screen.
Ahh. If only we were child stars. Or adult stars. We'd settle for that.
