The Line Up For BBC’s ‘Alternative Glastonbury’ Festival In Ireland Has Been Revealed

Last year, the BBC announced that it will be bringing an alternative to the legendary Glastonbury Festival, which is taking a year's break, with the replacement called 'The Biggest Weekend'.

The festival is planned take place in four sites in four nations, and Belfast, Ireland is one of the lucky locations for this year’s late May bank holiday weekend (25th-28th.)

We've been waiting since it was announced for the line up and now finally BBC Radio One has revealed some of the acts...

Beck, Manic Street Preachers, Courtney Barnett and Public Service Broadcasting have been confirmed for the Titanic Slipways in Belfast and it's expected that there will be some HUGE names joining them.

Best bit? Tickets for one day are only £18. Seriously.

Bob Shennan, director of BBC Radio and Music said: 

“BBC Music has a strong history of bringing the nation together for some special moments, and this is the biggest single music event ever attempted by the BBC.

“We will be celebrating the diversity of music from four different corners of the country, bringing the best UK music to the world and the best global music to the UK.”

Tickets go on sale at 10am for Belfast on February 12.
