As the nation awaits to hear the Government's plan for easing restrictions in May, there's still one more date left in the staggered April reopening of society.
Following changes on April 12 and 19 involving issues such as domestic travel, meeting other households and a return of inter-county GAA training, Monday, April 26 will see four more restrictions eased. They are as follows:
- Outdoor sports facilities can reopen (for example: pitches, golf courses and tennis courts, other facilities as appropriate)
- Outdoor visitor attractions can reopen (for example: zoos, open pet farms, heritage sites). Amusement parks are not permitted to open
- Underage non-contact outdoor training in pods of 15 or fewer can resume
- Maximum attendance at funerals will increase to 25
Dublin Zoo have already
stated that they will reopen on Monday of next week and this date should see the nation's golfers going back to doing what they love the most.
In what's set to be a busy week in terms of progress in the reopening of society, a Government roadmap for the easing of restrictions in May, June and July is
set to be announced on Friday, April 30. An Taoiseach Micheál Martin has already suggested that personal services such as hairdressers will be prioritised next month while it is hoped that outdoor dining will also be allowed to return. More information can be found
