The Boys In Green will take on the Turks in Antalya on Friday March 23 and those who have already applied for tickets have been told that the FAI will cover the cost of getting into the ground. Approximately 230 Irish fans have applied with the most expensive tickets costing the equivalent of €6.40.
The move is seen as a gesture of goodwill to those making the trip after Ireland's devastating 5-1 defeat to Denmark in the World Cup Play-Offs in November. The game against Turkey will be the first of 2018 for Martin O'Neill's side and will be followed by friendlies away to France on May 28 and at home to the USA on June 2.
