"The landholding comprises a mixture of forestry, lowland and mountain grazing lands with the entire extending to approximately 561.3 hectares (1,387 acres. The forestry is located at the Northern portion of the holding and extends to approximately 157.43 hectares (389 acres) and has a number of access roads from the Dingle - Castlegregory road. The residual lands comprise approximately 403.87 hectares (998 acres). The Conor Pass is noted for the natural beauty of its landscape and the holding has a mixture of physical characteristics that combine to produce some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland which is internationally recognised. Three lakes; Lough Atlea, Lough Beirne and Pedlars Lake are included in the holding. The Owenmore River and Lough Clogharee form the western boundary. As you stand at the viewing park at the top of Conor Pass you can see the lands stretching out below."Sounds stunning. But what could be the catch? Like all things in this country, it's going to cost a pretty penny to buy. When speaking to the estate agent Mike Kennedy on the upcoming sale, he said they were "hoping to achieve in the region of €7k to €7500 an acre" and if they achieve the price they are hoping for, that would mean Conor Pass would be selling for between €9,709,000 and €10,402,500. You know, no biggie. So anyone with a cool 10 mil who has always wanted to own a landmark, make sure to get in touch; agent Mike Kennedy said they have had "a lot of interest from people internationally and from throughout Ireland so far". Still, it still features as for sale online - maybe you could haggle the price down a little. You can check out the ad on the Daft website as well as Dingle Properties.
