The cleanest town in Ireland in 2017 has been unveiled, with Ennis in Co Clare taking the top prize - a special €40,000 public sculpture that will be commissioned for the town.
The 2017 Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey revealed the cleanest areas across the country, with Roscommon and Kildare coming closely behind.
The overall results of the survey found that 88% of towns and cities in Ireland were as clean - or cleaner - than those in Europe.
The most littered areas in the country were Limerick city, Ballymun in Dublin and Galway city.
