If your new year's resolution happened to involve exercising more, walking more, or just moving more in general, then hitting off on some gorgeous hikes is definitely a good way to do it.
Luckily, here in Ireland we are home to stunning nature trails, but even more so, some class pubs.
So, if it's any better motivation, here are some of the country's best pub walks - all of which are two hours or less from the capital.
Located just outside of Dublin city centre, there are two main versions of the Ticknock walk – the Fairy Castle Loop and the long trail from Kilmashogue.
The Fairy Castle Loop is 5.8km long and takes around two hours, and for those seeking something a little more grueling, the walk from Kilmashogue is a 13km trail that can take up to four hours.
The trails host spectacular views of Dublin City, Dublin Bay, Bray Head and the Wicklow Mountains.
After the hard work is done, pop into the Bluelight pub, located on the foothill of the Dublin mountains, for a pint and a rest. You deserve it.
The hike at Bray Head is a solid trail that gives you all the goodness of being out and about in the wild without having to exert yourself to serious levels.
The loop is just under 6km in length and takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
During this time, you'll be taking in stunning views over the Irish Sea, Bray, the Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountains.
And when all that is over ya, you can head to The Harbour Bar for a toastie and a pint - a serious motivator.
Just over an hour from the capital, The Spinc is a stunning trail. boasting a marvellous view of Glendalough Valley.
Although it's a tough 8.8km climb taking about four hours, the views, not just of the Valley but over the Wicklow Uplands, is so worth it.
When you're back down on solid ground, The Wicklow Heather is the perfect place to reward yourself with some grub and a fresh, cold pint.
This breathtaking walk is unlike anywhere else in county Wicklow.
The trail leads along the coastline, giving you a stunning view of the water, as well as the beautiful plant life that surrounds the Special Protection Area.
Just over 3.6km, it's the perfect option for beginners, or one to complete on a whim as it typically takes less than an hour.
When you've taken in all the views and make it to the end, Ta Sé's pub will be waiting there for you, a ideal spot for the post walk pint.
This is one of Dublin's most popular walks, and we can see why.
Setting off from the stunning village of Howth, this 7.8km coastline clifftop loop is home to idyllic island and lighthouse views.
Starting at the DART station, the loop takes around two hours to complete, and when you do, take the weight off your feet at The Harbour Bar.
