Storm Fionn Is On The Way As FOUR Weather Warnings Issued By Met Éireann

Weather warnings, storms, snow, ice... how long is it until the summer again?

Met Éireann has added to its snow-ice warnings from this morning with a fresh Status Orange Wind Warning for eight counties as Storm Fionn looks set to come to Ireland.

The Wind Warning is for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork and Kerry

They state that: "This evening and for a time tonight (Tuesday), storm Fionn will bring very strong westerly winds to Atlantic coastal counties with mean wind speeds of 65 to 80 km/h and gusts of up to 120 km/hr, strongest near coasts with a risk of flooding.

The warning was issued at 10am on Tuesday and is valid from 3pm until 3am on Wednesday morning.

As well as this, fresh Wind Warnings for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford have been put in place and are valid for the same time period.

In these counties westerly winds will reach mean winds speeds of 55 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h.
