Status yellow weather warning issued to all of Ireland

This weekend's weather forecast is pretty grim reading.

Earlier this week, Ireland received its first snow and ice weather warning of the winter, and this weekend sees yet another warning in place, but for a different type of bad weather. Met Eireann have issued the warning to all of Ireland, with the status yellow wind warning in place for all of Friday, right through to 6am on Saturday. As part of the warning description, Met Eireann stated that "Strong northerly winds today will gust up to 100km/h with a slight risk of coastal flooding." Tomorrow will see the wind and rain pass most of the country by, which will lead to drops to as low -2 in places overnight, with fog, mist, frost and ice patches expected. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are all expected to see temperatures drop to -3 in parts of the country, so make sure you wrap up warm this weekend and into early next week!
