Some adore the new Republic of Ireland home jersey although the love is not universal.
The
Football Association of Ireland unveiled the national team's new home shirt on Friday and it's certainly divided opinion among fans.
The latest release from Ireland has seen a change to a bottle-green tone and a gold colour for the the kit's logos, 14 months after the strip was last updated by New Balance.
The new Ireland jersey, which will likely be sported by the country's men's and women's sides in their respective upcoming qualifiers, will be available to purchase next Friday.
Ireland midfielder Callum O’Dowda said: "The new Republic of Ireland kit feels special. It has a new look and feel to it, which the players instantly liked. It’s always an honour to pull on the Ireland jersey, but it’s even better when it’s a jersey that you feel comfortable in.
"I hope that the Ireland supporters like this kit as much as the players do and we hope to deliver some big results for them whilst wearing it."
There were quite a few positive responses to the new kit.
