Ireland's Six Nations clash with France has reportedly been postponed due to concerns regarding coronavirus.
Ireland vs. France was scheduled to take place in Paris this Saturday but tournament officials have now made the decision to postpone the final round of fixtures as a result of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, according to a report in
Midi Olympique.
The French government had already issued a ban on mass gatherings of more than 1,000 people in a bid to contain the virus.
Now the Six Nations committee has reportedly opted to move the entire final round of fixtures to October, meaning that neither Wales vs. Scotland nor Italy vs. England will be played this weekend either.
Reports in France state that the final round of Six Nations games will now be played on October 31.
Ireland were supposed to play Italy at the Aviva Stadium last Saturday but that match was postponed after cases of COVID-19 began increasing in Europe.
Ireland are still in with a chance of winning the Six Nations, as are France, although England remain favourites for the championship after claiming the Triple Crown on Saturday.
