Tomorrow will see an icy start to the day with rain, sleet and snow across the southern half of the country.
a Status Yellow warning for snow and ice will also be in place in Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry from 3pm today until just before midnight tomorrow night.
At the moment, things are expected to settle down for New Year's day, as Met Éireann predicts "bright sunny spells".
They said, "New Year's Day will dawn cold and frosty. It'll be a bright day with good sunny spells but also some passing showers, possibly wintry on high ground".
