The Airport have since released a statement to confirm it was completely reopened after the earlier disruption. They added that delays may continue though, writing: "As a result of the earlier temporary closure, there will be some disruptions to the flight schedule throughout the day. We regret any inconvenience this may cause to our passengers". Those flying from Shannon or collecting people are still advised to check flight details directly with the relevant airline before making their way to the airport.
