There are a lot of sleepy heads in Ireland today after thousands of people opted to stay up late to watch RTE's coverage of the US Election.
At the time of writing, the US Election is still finely-balanced as Joe Biden and Donald Trump battle to take the top job in the White House. People are watching events unfold from all over the world and Ireland is no different, according to RTE's viewing figures from last night.
The national broadcaster shared an update today which shows that over 543,000 viewers tuned in at some point during their four-hour Election Results Special on Tuesday night. This is up 55% compared to the equivalent programme for the 2016 Election and a massive 120% on the numbers for 2012 when Barack Obama got re-elected.

here), there could be another couple of long nights ahead for Irish Election-watchers. Who's your money on?
