Irish restaurants are honouring Donie O'Sullivan, an Irish CNN reporter who hails from County Kerry, who went viral for his coverage of the US Capitol breach last week. Donie became an overnight sensation in Ireland for his reporting, gaining praise for his calm during the chaos. Donnie appeared on The Late Late Show on Friday night, explaining to Ryan Tubridy, "There were thousands of Trump supporters and I was out there just shooting a taped piece, to interview some of the supporters and talk about why they were here and the conspiracy theories they believe in and things like that - and then we marched down with them from the White House. "We go out there and we tell folks that we're with CNN and they don't normally tend to like that but then I tell them I'm from Ireland or they hear my Irish accent and they're normally intrigued and are more open to talking to me I think." And now, restaurants in Ireland are paying homage to the Kerry man. The Curragower Bar in Limerick City has introduced 'The Donie', which they describe as a whopper of a burger.
