A Cork-based whiskey has taken home the coveted title of the world’s best whiskey at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey
was awarded the World Whisky Trophy after it scored an incredible 98 out of 100 points.
It beat stiff competition from American, Japanese and other Irish whiskeys to the top spot, while Midleton Very Rare Berry Crockett Legacy and Jameson Cooper’s Croze were also honoured.
