At first it was 8 counties but Met Eireann have now extended the warning to the entire country...

Ex-Hurricane Ophelia is forecast to track directly over Ireland during daytime Monday. Violent and destructive gusts are forecast with all areas at risk and in particular the southwest and south in the morning, and eastern counties in the afternoon. Also heavy rain and storm surges along some coasts will result in flooding.
There is potential risk to lives.

The National Emergency Coordination Group met this morning and, after liaising with Met Éireann, they've decided to close schools in all the counties that currently have a red weather warning.

Given that all counties now have a red weather warning that means all schools are ordered to close.

This is the how the warm weather from the hurricane is approaching

Time for everybody to start planning...
