PIC: Various Irish Stores Recall Product Due To Presence Of Listeria Fears

If consumed, this could lead to some seriously health complications or at worse, death, so be extremely careful.

The Irish Food Safety Authority has confirmed that it is recalling a product that is found in various Irish stores over listeria fears.

The Teoranta Irish White Crab Meat has been recalled.

In a statement, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said:

"De Brún (Iasc) Teoranta is recalling a batch of ready-to-eat frozen white crab meat with batch code 19218 and Best Before Date July 2020, due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

"Consumers are advised not to consume products from this implicated batch."

The affected bunches are 500g and they have a batch code 19218 with a best before date of July 2020.

This recall comes in the middle of an outbreak of listeriosis which can cause a serious health risk.

They has been nine deaths in Europe already because of the rare bacterial disease.
