We've spoken about the charity campaign One For Ireland before. It's an incredible initiative, in conjunction with the Irish Youth Foundation, with the premise being that if everyone in Ireland was to donate €1 to one charity on one day – an awful lot could be done.
It's simple. It's easy. It's efficient.
This year's chosen charities are based around the theme of Youth Mental Health; and in order to promote this - a budding team of four individuals travelled the guts of 1000km in a Toyota Corolla in order to spread the good word of charitable livin'.

They spent their morning travelling from Dublin city centre to Kilcullen, Carlow and lovely lovely Laois.

From speaking to the general public, they found that people had opinions but many were reluctant to be recorded because they didn't want to say the wrong thing.
They were so thankful for the people who did get involved however, and are hoping to make a short media clip soon.
They took calls from Live 95fm and TodayFM as they drove through the midlands, hitting up Limerick City, Galway, Enfield and finally Dublin en route home.

...phew. We're tired even thinking about it. And if that doesn't make you almost fall into bed, the driver of the troupe had also left Sligo at 6am to be in Dublin for 8. Adding another few hundred kms to the journey. Madness.
That sort of effort deserves attention. Especially when helping out the cause is as simple as this.
It's so, so easy.

The donation days for this year are the days of the May Bank Holiday weekend (April 28 – May 1).
