Last night Taoiseach Enda Kenny tweeted about a phone conversation with Vice President Elect Mike Pence describing it as "really good". 

And naturally people were absolutely disgusted and utterly furious that a member of our government was even engaging with Pence.

The fact that this man even got elected as VP is still too raw for most – it was a blinding shock to the system. 

During their fifteen minute-long conversation Kenny welcomed Pence to re-visit Ireland. His family hail from both Sligo and Clare but it is very clear that people will not welcome this man with open arms. At all. 

Kenny was met with this response:
