5 star Park Hotel run by Brennan brothers hits the market for €20mil

The lavish Kenmare hotel is up for sale alongside its sister property, The Lansdowne, for a combined price of €20.5 million.

Hotelier brothers Francis and John Brennan have made the decision to sell their landmark Park Hotel in order to pursue other interests. The properties are being sold by agent CRBE, as Francis and John have said they'd like to exit the industry on a "high".

“While the Park has enjoyed a wonderful life, making many people’s stays memorable, the decision was not an easy one to make,” a statement shared by the Independent said.

”Nothing is forever and while we have invested heavily in recent years to ensure both properties are pristine, we feel the time is right to take some time to ourselves, pursue other interests and business opportunities.”

The brothers first acquired the hotel, which is a member of Ireland's Blue Book in 1986. Prior to this, they had leased the Park for two years. They now have joint ownership of the property with Fergal Naughton, executive chairman of the Glen Dimplex Group.

The Park Hotel has been lauded as “One of the world’s most renowned hotels” by the New York Times, boasting 46 bedrooms, an 18-hole golf course, private cinema, a luxury spa enveloped in the nature of Kenmare Bay alongside multiple bars and dining areas.

Room rates start at €415 a night, with a two-night stay minimum. The Park and The Lansdowne are on sale individually for €17m and €3.5m respectively, or together for a combined price of €20.5m. Header image via Instagram/Francis Brennan READ NEXT:
