“While the Park has enjoyed a wonderful life, making many people’s stays memorable, the decision was not an easy one to make,” a statement shared by the Independent said.
”Nothing is forever and while we have invested heavily in recent years to ensure both properties are pristine, we feel the time is right to take some time to ourselves, pursue other interests and business opportunities.”
The brothers first acquired the hotel, which is a member of Ireland's Blue Book in 1986. Prior to this, they had leased the Park for two years. They now have joint ownership of the property with Fergal Naughton, executive chairman of the Glen Dimplex Group.
