Over 100 people fined in Wicklow for breaking lockdown rules.
These have been on-the-spot fines that all happened this weekend.
Since last Monday, Gardaí received new powers to issue a fine of €100 to anyone found breaking the travel restrictions.
37 people were issued with tickets up to Thursday, so these 100 fines almost tripled the amount so far and this was in Wicklow alone.
Gardaí operating checkpoints in Wicklow gave cautions to over two hundred other drivers who agreed to turn back and go home but others still didn't comply.
