We've spent so much time watching the RTÉ News over the years that it feels like we know the team at this stage.
However, one of the station's most recognisable faces will be noticeably absent from this week on.
According to Independent.ie, John Finnerty has retired from his role with the national broadcaster and no longer be appearing on RTÉ's news coverage.
The newspaper reports that his retirement was low-key as he didn't want "a fuss".
He'll definitely be missed!
