As anyone who has ever owned a car will know, the cost of petrol is a constant source of strain and struggle.

We all have our favourite spots where we save a few quid on filling the tank but according to AA Ireland, you should be noticing a drop in prices across the board at the moment.

The latest fuel prices survey showed that prices have fallen for the first time in six months, with petrol rates dropping by an average of 1.1c per litre across the country.

The average litre of petrol is now priced at 136.6 cents, compared to 137.7 cents a litre in March.

Meanwhile, diesel is selling at 126 cents a litre, much lower than last month's price of 127.1 cents.

Have you noticed a difference when you're paying at the pumps?
