Michael D Higgins is a man of the people.
It's never a surprise to bump into him on the college campus in NUIG or to wait next in line to him at the deli counter.
He goes about his jobs like a normal human being and that includes going to the ATM to take out some moola.
We wouldn't blink an eye at hearing this but for an American to see this happening, you can understand why they'd be a little confused.
