Met Éireann Is Forecasting Low Temperatures And Frost For The Easter Weekend

Despite seeing the sun come out of the shadows for the first time in what seems like forever this weekend, it looks like the good bout of weather isn't here to stay.

Yep, it may be wise to keep the hats and scarves at arms reach, as temperatures are expected to drop to as low as zero degrees in some areas this week.

Met Éireann have forecast "cool weather" for the Easter weekend beginning on Friday when frost is set to develop overnight.

"A few bright spells, but generally cloudy and misty, with some rain at times - this most likely over the eastern half of the country, with western areas likely to have the best of the dry weather. Cold and frosty overnight."

The forecast also shows that, despite the possibility of some sunny spells over the weekend, it will be mostly cold and frosty.

"Present indications point to cool weather, with moderate northeast to northerly breezes."

"Some dry, bright spells each day, but cloudy periods too, with some passing showers. Cold at night, with frost in many places."
