Met Éireann Warns Of ‘Very Disturbed Weather’ On The Way As Storm Helene Heads For Ireland

Met Éireann has warned that 'very disturbed' weather is on its way to Ireland as Hurricane Helene heads across the Atlantic.

The outlook for early next week looks a little bit on the scary side with extremely windy, humid conditions as well as heavy rainfall.

It reads:

'There is a lot of uncertainty in the details for early next week but indications are for very disturbed weather.

'Mild, very humid conditions are expected to develop during Monday, with rain moving up from the south in freshening southerly winds.

'There is a risk of some extremely windy conditions with heavy rainfall on Monday night or Tuesday but there is a large degree of uncertainty in details at present.'

Carlow Weather adds that Helene is heading towards us with 'strong gusts Monday night as she moves through Ireland.'

As well as that, another system is following in behind Helene next Wednesday and we could see Storm Ali, the first of the winter storms which were named yesterday, sooner than we think.
