Met Éireann has forecast "wintry showers or longer spells of sleet or snow" for Thursday and Friday of this week.
With temperatures plummeting, the weather experts at Met Éireann are predicting that the dusting of snow we've seen in recent days could become more prominent by the end of the week. To start off the week, the mercury could drop to as low as minus two degrees on Monday night before a decent day of sunshine on Tuesday, with 'isolated rain and sleet showers on the coasts.'
Wednesday will see further showers and sunshine with lows of minus three at night before Thursday and Friday continues 'cold with further wintry showers or longer spells of sleet or snow at times.' There will also be ' daytime temperatures of one to four degrees with freezing conditions overnight' on these days.
With Covid-19 numbers continuing to rise and the
public being asked to work from home unless absolutely essential, this is just another reason to ensure you stay in. You can read Met Éireann's forecast in full
