Temperatures Are Going To Plummet Below Zero This Weekend

Make sure you wrap up incredibly warm if you’re heading out this weekend because we're set to have some freezing cold nights across the country.

Tonight will start off at a chilly 0°C before dropping even lower as the weekend continues.

As well as that, there’s a status yellow rainfall warning in place for both Waterford and Cork until 2am on Saturday.

A Met Éireann forecaster said, “Scattered outbreaks of rain early tonight will soon become confined to the southwest, with a few showers possible in the east later.

"Otherwise a lot of dry weather with mist or fog patches, and patchy frost developing where skies stay clear.

"Lowest temperatures 0°C to 6°C, coldest away from southern counties. Northeast breezes will be mostly light overland."

Saturday will increase to 10°C in some parts but there’s another few icy cold nights in store after that, with both Saturday and Sunday night dropping as low as -2°C.

Sunday will be another cold day, staying between 6°C and 10°C but thankfully will stay mostly dry, before dropping again to somewhere between -2°C and +2°C that night.
