Man In Serious Condition Following Alleged Assault In Roscommon

A man in his 40s is in a serious condition following an alleged assault in Co. Roscommon overnight.

According to breakingnews.ie, the incident occurred in Erris Bay, Boyle at around 4.30am. 

The victim was brought to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a serious condition. 

Gardaí have arrested another man in his 40s who is being held at Roscommon Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
