Man In Serious Condition After Being Attacked In Galway City

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in Galway City last night.

According to The Connaught Tribune, the assault took place near the junction of Abbeygate Street and Market Street after 3am.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.

Two men were arrested by gardaí in connection with the attack and are being questioned at Galway Garda Station.
