Add us as a preferred source on Google »Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with an assault on Waterford FC manager Alan Reynolds over the weekend, RTÉ reports.
Mr. Reynolds was assaulted on the main street in Tramore around 1am on Sunday, little over 24 hours after his side's 4-0 League Of Ireland Premier Division Victory over Derry City on Friday.
The 43-year-old suffered facial injuries in the attack and has undergone surgery on a leg injury. A man was arrested this morning and is being held at Tramore Garda Station.
Waterford's next match is away to Cork City this coming Friday.

Waterford FC can confirm that manager Alan Reynolds is recovering in hospital following an unprovoked assault last night.
The club will be making no further comment on the matter.
