Ahead of their Premier League match on Saturday at 12:30pm against Stoke, Liverpool have hung a jersey up in their dressing room as a tribute to Sean Cox who was viciously attacked on Tuesday night when he attended their Champions League game against Roma.
A long-time member of the Meath club, Dunboyne GAA, Cox was critically injured in the attack which two Italian men have since been charged with.
Mr. Cox's family released a statement on the matter on Thursday and Liverpool players and fans alike shared tributes to the man on Social Meida.
