Lidl Ireland is recalled two of their most used products before the Bank Holiday over consumption danger fears.
The supermarket chain are telling customers to return the 'Vitasia Gyoza Dumplings with Chicken and Pork' and 'Freshona Chopped Tomatoes with Herbs products.'
The Vitasia Gyoza Dumplings with Chicken and Pork (400g) have a best before date of December 5 2019.
They are being recalled because the allergens are not labelled in English while the Freshona Chopped Tomatoes with Herbs 400g are being recalled over fears of plastic pieces in the product.
About the Tomatoes, Lidl said that:
"In light of new information received from Lidl we can confirm that the implicated product is in fact ‘Freshona Chopped Tomatoes with Basil’ and not ‘Freshona Chopped Tomatoes with Herbs’.
"The above batch of Freshona Chopped Tomatoes with Basil is being recalled due to the possible presence of small pieces of plastic. The product was sold in Lidl stores in Ireland. Lidl is recalling the implicated batch and displaying a point-of-sale recall notice."
Regarding the dumplings, the company said that:
"Lidl Ireland is recalling the above batch of its Vitasia Gyoza Dumplings with Chicken and Pork as the allergens present are not labelled in English. The implicated batch contains Egg, Mustard and Cereals containing Gluten.
"There may also be the unintentional presence of Celery, Crustaceans, Milk, Molluscs, Sesame and Soya. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant of these allergens."
If these products are in your home, it is recommended that you bring it back to your nearest store where you can avail of a refund or a replacement of the product.
