As if taking "the most important exams of your life" isn't hard enough, trying to do it in the blistering heat - in a baggy and heavy school jumper - makes it ten times harder.
Disclaimer: As anyone who has done the LC found out shortly after they finished, they really aren't the most important exams of your life.
Every year we get the famous 'Leaving Cert Weather'. Sure, it helps that the LC takes place in the middle of the summer but still, it's amazing that the first week of the exams are always unbearably hot.
Met Éireann has released the forecast for the next couple of days and the weather is just going to be top-drawer for the next seven days at least.
Wednesday will see a "sunny day in most areas" with a max temperature of 24 degrees while Thursday will be "very warm" with a top temperature of 25 degrees.
On Friday, there's a risk of heavy, showery rain in Munster and Leinster in the morning and extending westward and in the afternoon and evening, scattered showers could affect Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. But, if that stays at bay, we're talking about temperatures in the mid 20s again too.
Saturday and Sunday will be much of the same with temperatures of 23 and 24 degrees with light easterly breezes and a bit cooler along coasts.
Monday and Tuesday of next week will be a small bit cooler as temperature keep their heads afloat in the low 20s with good sunshine expected.
While you're sunning yourself though, think of those poor students...
