Image Source: ITVITV have pulled the Jeremy Kyle Show indefinitely after a guest died following the recording of an episode in which they were supposed to feature.This morning’s instalment of the talk show, which was due to air at 9.30am, was cancelled and replaced with Dickenson’s Real Deal when producers learned that one of the featured guests had passed away.An ITV spokesperson explained that the episode is being submitted for review due to the seriousness of the issue.They said, “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”The identity of the guest who was set to appear has not yet been identified.Kyle’s controversial talk show has been on ITV since 2005, airing over 3,000 episodes so far. The show has attracted much criticism over the years for exploiting the issues of certain socio-economic classes and vulnerable members of society for cheap entertainment purposes.A special celebrity edition of the show, which was to feature Eastenders actress Daniella Westbrook, was due to air tomorrow but has also been suspended. Westbrook tweeted, “I'm hoping you guys get to see it at a later date”.
