The Bank Holiday is nearly upon us and that means most of the working population will be planning three days of rest, relaxation and er, pints.
Of course, long weekends are so much nicer when the sun is shining and with temperatures set to hit 20 degrees on Friday, people will be jumping out of the office door and into the nearest beer garden.
However, if you know your Irish weather you won't want to be counting your chickens. Met Éireann predicts that 'Friday will be a wet day in the west and north' and 'largely dry further south and east with some bright or hazy sunny spells and temperatures here of 17 to 20 degrees.'
Before that, on Thursday, 'rain will mostly affect Connacht, Ulster and western parts of Munster.' Stop laughing in the east though because revenge is a dish best served wet.
According to the experts, 'the band of rain will move down over the rest of the country during Friday evening and night with a clearance following from the northwest' before 'rain in the southeast on Saturday morning.'
One thing we can all rejoice in is that it will 'brighten up countywide' on Saturday with top temperatures of 18 degrees as well as 'sunshine and showers'
