We know they say the luck of the Irish but bloody hell.
Following on from Saturday's announcement that this Irish shop had made someone a millionaire after selling them a winning EuroMillions ticket, someone else in Ireland became a multimillionaire.
Someone is waking up this Bank Holiday Sunday - most likely with a pounding headache - but also with a cool €4.3m in the back pocket.
A Limerick man or woman has just won big after purchasing their ticket at Whitty’s Mace shop in Caherdavin.
The thrilled store owner, DJ Whitty, said on Sunday: “I cannot believe it. When the call came through last night I was in shock.
This is the second Lotto jackpot winning ticket we’ve sold in our 21 years in business here. It is fantastic for the town of Caherdavin and there’s a great buzz around the town this morning. I’ve no idea who the winner is but we hope it is one of our local customers.”
As well as this, two other players in Leitrim and Louth came away with prizes in the main jackpot of just over €106,000 each.
These winners bought their Quick Pick tickets at Mulvey’s House of Gifts, on Main Street, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim and at the Lidl store on the Dublin Road in Ardee, Co Louth.
The numbers in the main draw were: 1, 7, 10, 17, 35, 37 and the bonus number was 43.
The numbers for the Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 20, 23, 24, 36, 38, 47 and a bonus number of 32 .
In the Lotto Plus 2 draw, the numbers were: 1, 16, 24, 36, 39, 42 and a bonus of 33.
There was no big winners of the plus draws, however.
