Great news for Irish motorists as it has been revealed by The AA that fuel prices have been dropping steadily for months.
A survey on fuel prices by AA Ireland has found that fuel prices have been dropping steadily for the past four months in a row and are now the cheapest they have been since late in 2016.
The average price of a litre of petrol in Ireland at time of writing is 131.9c, while a litre of diesel will cost you around 119.2c per litre.
However, despite the national drop in fuel prices, the AA also reported a minor increase in the cost of a barrel of oil - a massively influential factor in setting future fuel prices.
