The dates for the remaining 2020 Six Nations fixtures have been confirmed with Ireland facing a Halloween showdown against France.
The
2020 Six Nations was interrupted back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic with Ireland having played three games. Head Coach Andy Farrell's maiden Six Nations campaign started with wins over Scotland and Wales before a defeat by England at Twickenham on February 23, results which leave Ireland currently occupying fourth place in the table.
Farrell now knows that the rearranged game against Italy will take place at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, October 24 with a kick-off time yet to be confirmed. A week later, on Saturday, October 31, Ireland will take on France at the Stade de France in what promises to be an intriguing finish to the campaign. This game will kick-off at 8pm Irish time.

In a
statement, the Six Nations have said: "In rescheduling these matches, the health and safety of players, associated staff and supporters has been at the forefront of our thinking. We remain in close contact with all relevant authorities across the respective jurisdictions to ensure these matches take place in a safe environment and we will announce further details of health and safety protocols and guidance on spectator attendance in due course."
It has also been confirmed that the Six Nations Women’s Championship will be concluded this autumn, with Ireland currently lying third in the table.
Irish Rugby has pointed out that it is "unlikely that a capacity crowd will be facilitated at Aviva Stadium or Energia Park for the rescheduled 2020 Six Nations and Women’s Six Nations fixtures against Italy". Supporters with tickets can read the refund process via
