Ireland Could Be In For Some Scary Weather Change If The UK’s Warning Is Anything To Go By

Long live the good weather.

It's still here, after all the maybes and drops of rain here and there, the sun has always come back day after day like it promised it would.

Met Éireann's weekly renewal of their weather advisory continues and they say that there is a Status Yellow in place for Munster and Leinster

They forecast that "soil moisture deficits will remain in excess of 70mm in many parts of Leinster and Munster."

The next update will be the start of next month and here's hoping the good weather sticks by our sides.

But, if it follows in the direction of our UK neighbours, we could be in for a scary time of it.

They are currently being warned of Thunderstorms after experiencing extreme highs and record breaking temperatures.

They say that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds

Power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost

Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services. Spray and sudden flooding could also lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

They can hold on to that weather, but we wouldn't mind taking some extra temperatures, thanks.
