Ireland Could Be About To Face Serious Frost And Snow If UK’s Weather ‘Warning’ Forecast Is Anything To Go By

Following the likes of Storm Emma, Beast From The East, Storm Diana and all the heatwaves this summer, we've experienced lots of different, varying weather over the past few months.

After the antics of last March, we feel like we've become well equipped with handling serious snow and frost.

But after seeing this weather forecast, we're not so sure...

Temperatures are forever dropping in Ireland and as for our neighbours across the foam, they have been warned by the Met Office that the cold streak could drop to as far as -6 degrees, especially on the eastern side of Britain.

A spokesperson for the Met Office has told Metro that severe icy stretches and high possibility of snow were likely.

As for Ireland, Rain will affect parts of Ulster and Leinster Tuesday night but turning drier elsewhere.

There'll be overnight lows of 0 to 6 Celsius with a slight frost possible in southern areas and breezes will be light, according to Met Eireann.

Nighttime temperatures will remain close to zero as the week goes on.

Irish Weather Expert Alan O'Reilly, however, has said that the UK's weather forecast may not reflect the upcoming weather for us.

He said that:

"If you see some UK weather forecasts talking about possible Snow this Thursday, remember that they often stay on the colder side of the weather while we see rain, as is likely the case this week.

"The Atlantic fronts meet colder air from the east and stall over the Irish Sea."
