Whether it's your favourite burger, a pint or a big bag of cans, we all know that being a consumer in Ireland certainly isn't cheap.

That fact has now been backed up by a new study which places us as second most expensive in the European Union for consumers. 

The figures released by Eurostat rank Denmark as the highest so be wary if you're planning a getaway to Copenhagen any time soon. The Danes are 39% above average while goods and services in Ireland being 25% above.
