Ireland Has Been Named One Of The Top EU Countries For Recycling

We are all trying to do a bit to help the environment and recycle where we can.

Well, it looks like it is all paying off because Ireland has been named as one of the top EU countries for recycling, Repak have said.

The Irish environmental organisation said that our Emerald Isle ranks 7th in the EU for recycling and recovering packaging waste.

Horray!

Repak released some very interesting figures to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Over the last 20 years, us Irish have recycled eight billion plastic bottles and seven billion glass bottles. Which is frankly, amazing.

And the number of landfills has decreased from 126 to just four. Wow.
